Fashion Week is officially over and we’re officially exhausted. But we’re having fun putting together a list of what we liked best this season. (Some thumbs down are coming too.) First category? An easy one—though there were other contenders (including last Thursday’s STUDIO party which featured both an appearance by model Agyness Deyn and a beer vending machine…).
BEST PARTY: LINE Knitwear
Why Toronto? That was the question on many attendees’ lips at the LINE Knitwear show and party a couple of weeks ago. Designers Jennifer Wells and John Muscat’s cozy knits have been featured in magazines from O to ELLE. But to them, the choice was simple: Toronto, after all, is their hometown. The local fashion community was thrilled to see them return. After an excellent showing on the runway, guests, models and designers toasted the achievement at 99 Sudbury.
What makes a good party? Elements may vary night to night, but the fundamentals rest on free-flowing drinks and a fun mix of people. In this case, the crowd included fashion photographers Miguel Jacob and Gabor Jurina, models Tara Gill and Alana Zimmer, and MTV’s Jessi Cruickshank and Johnny Hockin, who also DJed.
