Everything seemed to come in twos at [FAT], Toronto’s Alternative Arts & Fashion Week. So we enlisted James Grainger to compose rhyming couplets to accompany our favourite things from an exciting week. Photography by Natalie Castellino.
BEST LOOK
Black and neon for the after-hours diva;
Two looks as bright and sharp as a cleaver.
BEST “A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS”
Mirror mirror, on the wall, who’s the FATest of them all?
The guy with red shades or the two in the stall?
Black as the night, white as the moon,
Lace like ivy on the wall of a tomb
Both looks from Jessica Clayton
Festoons of tough studs or a flapping lapel,
With jackets it’s always the extras that sell
At Danya Phillips (above) and Refined by Evan Biddell (below)
Check back for part II tomorrow.

(That didn’t rhyme. Sorry.)
