Natalie Portman has just signed on to be the new face of Parfums Christian Dior. This is the first time the actress has represented any fragrance or cosmetics brand, and it was definitely worth the wait. Dior’s fragrance collabs have always been A-list—past faces have includedSharon Stone, Charlize Theron and Monica Belluci. (WWD)

Shoes news
Sales at Repetto, the French retailer of ballet flats, topped $50 million in 2009 (and has been growing by the double digits). Needless to say, it seems like a natural time for them to expand (they can afford it!), and new high-profile collaborations should certainly help. For fall 2010, the footwear label is partnering with Opening Ceremony, Rodarte, Colette and James Perse. Is it too soon in the summer to start wishing for fall? (WWD)

iPad fad
The iPad is not only the hottest thing to have in the technological world, but the fashion world too. This week both Gucci and Louis Vuitton debuted stylish new iPad cases. Gucci’s suede-lined, monogrammed creations are available now at and go for $250, with new colours coming out in the fall. Louis Vuitton’s cases will be available fall 2011. (InStyle)

CK exclusive
The rumours are confirmed. Lara Stone will be the face for all three Calvin Klein collections this fall: Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, and Calvin Klein Jeans. This is the first time the brand has chosen one face for all three brands in years, and Stone (who recently married Brit comedian David Walliams) has been signed on exclusively—meaning CK is the only brand she will represent in ads and on the runways for the entire season.
